Anxiety…

Anxiety is a natural response to stress or danger, often characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, or unease. It can manifest physically, emotionally, or behaviorally and can vary in intensity from mild to severe. Anxiety becomes a problem when it interferes with daily life or persists for an extended period.

When you feel anxious, your body activates its "fight or flight" response, which triggers a cascade of physiological changes. These can include increased heart rate, rapid breathing, tense muscles, sweating, trembling, upset stomach, and difficulty concentrating. These responses are the body's way of preparing to deal with a perceived threat or danger.

If anxiety persists for too long without relief or management, it can lead to various issues. Some potential consequences of chronic anxiety include physical and mental heath problems, impaired functioning, sleep disturbances, social isolation, or substance abuse.

Anxiety originates in the nervous system, so using essential oils is a great way to combat anxious symptoms considering the oils will enter the blood stream and positively interact with the hormones at play.

The protocols we recommend for anxiety are Neurological Protocol, Hormone Balance Protocol, Forgiveness Protocol, and Embotic Protocol. Let’s talk about some key essential oils that help us here and target ones we can use individually through the day as anxiety strikes.

  1. Rose Essential Oil: Rose is often used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and uplift mood. It can help calm the body and mind through its potent properties. It is essential for some of these protocols, and can also be used individually over the heart or on the wrists as a perfume throughout the day.  The Rose roll-on is especially useful in this case.

  2. Melissa Essential Oil: melissa also has calming and relaxing properties, while also helping boost the immune system and decrease inflammation. Helping to maintain the body’s health lowers overall stress of the body itself and therefore contributes to a decrease in anxiety. The body is totally advocating for itself when Melissa essential oil is used.

  3. Frankincense Essential Oil: This oil, used in each of the before mentioned protocols, helps to calm the mind, relax the body, enhance mood and help alleviate feelings of anxiety. As a proactive practice to prevent anxiety, Frankincense can also help enhance mindfulness practices for grounding and calming.

Anxiety can get the best of any of use if we let it, and especially when we let it continue for too long. We invite you to use the tools in front of you to increase your wellness, and the wellness of those around you. Small habits today can lead to less anxiety tomorrow.
